Spinners bagged 26 out of 30 wickets in the Tier-2 NCL (National Cricket League) match between Barishal Division and Rajshahi Division at BKSP ground 4, Savar. The game only lasted 112.2 overs, meaning it did not even go to the second session of day two.

Barishal scored 82 in the first innings where left-arm spinners Taijul Islam and Sunjamul Islam picked up 4 wickets each.

Rajshahi posted 151 in reply thanks to Junaid Siddique's 43 and Taijul's 37. All-rounder Sohag Gazi bagged 6 for 65 for Barishal.

Barishal trailed by 69 runs when they came on to bat in the second innings but were bundled out for a paltry 60 runs. Sunjamul bagged 6 for 15 while Taijul bagged 4 for 23. 

Sunjamul picked up 10 wickets in the match giving away only 33 runs. 

Barishal lost the match by an innings and 9 runs. 

Taijul Islam was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance. 

 

While Barishal vs Rajshahi game ended in two days, the other three round two NCL (National Cricket League) matches are still poised.

Zakir Hasan's 159 and 67 each from Jaker Ali and Asadulla Al Halib have taken Sylhet's total to 370.

Dhaka Division are trailing by 131 runs in the first innings after recovering from a collapse where they lost four wickets in space of six runs (87/1 to 93/5). Joyraz Sheikh and Saif Hassan made 41 and 42 batting at the top.

Shuvagata Hom, who claimed four wickets with the ball, saved the day making unbeaten 89 runs off 95 balls as he struck 11 fours and a six.

 

Rangpur Division have kept themselves on top, taking a 143-run lead in the first innings as they made 364 in reply to Khulna's 221. Skipper Ariful Haque was the top-scorer with 97 off 164, supported by Nasir Hossain's 66 in 116 balls, who followed this from a hundred in the last match. Masum Khan picked up four for 78 for Khulna.

Mukidul Islam Mugdho dismissed Robiul Islam Robi for a first-ball duck for the second time in the match to leave Khulna at 4/1 at the end of the day.

A career-best 159 from opener Pinak Ghosh and a half-century (53) from Shahadat Hossain Dipu highlighted Chattogram's innings which they declared on 402/8.

Runouts troubled Dhaka Metro in reply, losing Anik Ahmed (8) and the captain Marshall Ayub (2). Shamsur Rahman was sent for 68 by Nayeem Hasan while Zabid Hossain remains on 46 not out.
