Jointly with Uber, Better Future for Women will host an 'onboarding mela' at the end of March, where interested women can sign up as drivers to the platform, read a press release.
Uber will also set up a designated hotline for female drivers to ensure their safety.
With several safety features like live GPS tracking, 'Share Status' to 5 trusted contacts, verified partners, 24-hour in-app support and a two-way feedback system – the stakeholders hope to make the initiative successful.
