President mourns Moudud's death

President M Abdul Hamid expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of renowned lawyer and BNP leader Barrister Moudud Ahmed.

In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Besides, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Fisheries Minister SM Rezaul Karim, Health Minister Zahid Maleque, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, State Minister for Water Resources Colonel (retd) Zahid Farooq, and Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim mourned the death.

Moudud Ahmed breathed his last around 6:30pm at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Tuesday.
