Remittance inflow rises by 32% in 30 days of July

The inflow of remittances witnessed a remarkable year-on-year growth of 32%, reaching $2,368 million in the 30 days of July, according to the latest data from the Bangladesh Bank, issued today (July 31).
During the same period last year, the country's remittance inflow was $1,794 million.
Expatriate Bangladeshis sent a record $30.33 billion in remittances in the fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25), marking the highest amount ever received in a single fiscal year in the country's history.
This figure reflects a 26.80% increase compared to the $23.91 billion received in the previous fiscal year (FY24).
