Mahmudullah, the Bangladesh national team skipper for the shortest format, has stated that it will be challenging for the bowlers to execute their plans in New Zealand and urged them to make sure that they do not bowl too many boundary balls.
Knowing that it's always difficult for the visiting teams in New Zealand, the veteran cricketer said, "It will be challenging for the bowlers in terms of executing the plans and so ensuring that they are in the right frame of mind is very important. Here you have to be very careful about the length of a bowler. If you stray in line-length a little bit, you'll go for boundaries. So we have to focus on this aspect and make sure we don't offer them too many boundary options."
Mahmudullah said that it would be better not to worry too much about New Zealand's stellar current form and focus on own strengths and weaknesses. "Yes, they are in superb form, having beaten Australia in the T20I series. But we shouldn't worry about that and just play aggressive cricket in order to bring good results."

He remarked, "Personally I try to understand the behavior of the pitch as quickly as possible while batting and try to adjust with the bounce. There is a lot of bounce in these pitches. So it is important to cope with the pace and bounce of the wicket as early as possible. I always try to do that and wait for the bad balls. I think it's necessary to stick to the basics."
Bangladesh T20I captain said that the facilities are excellent and they are making the best use of the two hours they are being allowed outside the room. "Most importantly, we are getting the chance to practice. We are making sure that we practice well in the two hours we are getting. The wickets are fantastic. After two days, the quarantine will be finished. We hope that our results will come out negative and then we will be able to step outside."
Mahmudullah emphasized on playing as a collective group and perform well in all three departments of the game.
