Adhora Khan: I have the ‘heroine’ thing in my face
Five years into her career, Adhara’s first ever movie released this February
Pagoler Moto Bhalobashi, the first film that Adhora Khan worked in as an actress, was released on February 19. However, in terms of release, it was her third film. She stepped into the film industry five years ago by starting work on this movie as a female lead.
But why did this film take such a long time to be released? Adhora answered, "It depends entirely on the producer and director. My job was to act."
The film has been running in about 50 cinema halls in the country. It has already received a positive response from the viewers. While talking about the film, Adhora also told the story of how she entered the film industry.

"I used to dance. Then I was a first-year student at the university. One day I made a portfolio of mine with some of my photographs. My dance teacher saw the portfolio and told me to try in the movie industry. Because I have the "heroine" thing in my face," said Adhora.
"Then I got acquainted with director Shaheen Sumon through two of my friends. He was looking for a new heroine," she said.
Adhora started to watch Bangla films regularly in cinema halls before deciding to work in the film industry. She became more interested in acting in films after that. She was contracted to appear in Shaheen Sumon's film "Matal". But the shooting of "Pagoler Moto Bhalobashi" started before that.
The first day of the shooting was in Mainamati, Comilla. The shooting started with the sequence of a song. Remembering that day, she said, "I did not understand anything at the time. It seemed as if someone was controlling me and making me do everything. I thought I was a puppet."
Adhora is the third among her four siblings. None of her family is involved in the film industry. So, in the beginning, the family was not supportive of her. However, that did not stop her.
She has already started working on her seventh film "Give and Take". So far, three of her films have been released. She is also studying at a private university.
She said she is still learning. For this reason, she is not ready to assess her acting skills. She wants to learn more in the future.
"I think I could have done better in every movie. I will do better in the future," said Adhara.
The actresses that inspire her are Shabana, Kabori and Babita.
Asked where she would like to see herself in the future, Adhara said, "I don't know how far I can go. But I want to be one of the best. I want a director or producer to think of me when they plan a film. That's what I want."
Adhora said she does not consider anyone as her competitor.
