Protest against LPG gas price hike
Gonotantrik Bam Oikko has organised a human chain to protest the price hike of LPG gas during the coronavirus pandemic.
The leaders and workers of the organisation held a human chain in front of the National Press Club on Sunday.
Stating that the authorities are extorting the public by increasing the price, the speakers said, "The government LPG company is currently charging Tk 600 per cylinder and the private sector is charging however much as they want. The government LPG company has proposed to increase the price. The government technical company has proposed Tk 950 and the private LPG company alliance has proposed Tk 1250. We strongly protest against this."

They also said that the suffering of the people will increase if the price of LPG increases during the current corona situation.
Harun Chowdhury, general secretary of Samyabadi Dal, Harun Aur Rashid, acting general secretary of PDB, Sirajul Islam Master, central member of Samajtantrik Majdur Party and others spoke in the human chain under the chairmanship of coordinator of the organisation, Shamsul Alam.
