LRB members struggle to carry on Bachchu’s legacy

A year has passed since legendary singer and guitarist Ayub Bachchu's death on October 18 last year.
Within the year, members of his band LRB divided into two groups. The fans are anxious to know whether the songs tuned by the immortal composer will ever be performed on stage again.
During the last year, the band struggled to continue their work together. There were many rumors about artists joining and leaving the band. LRB's guitarist Masud and the band's manager Shamim left the band in May this year.

Shamim told The Business Standard, "It appeared that LRB does not need us anymore. So, we left. We have no complain."
He also added that, "We do not expect much from LRB as the boss (Ayub bachchu) is no more there. We do not know if we would return to the band ever again."
After Bachchu's death, LRB members announced to relaunch the band's journey with Balam. But people reacted to the decision fiercely in the social media. Despite that, the band members grouped under the title "Balam and the Legacy". But, that did not last long.
Recently, Warfaze's former vocalist Mizan has joined the band and started jamming together. In upcoming shows the 'LRB' members will appear on stage with Mizan. Hopefully Bachchu's song will be performed on stage, despite his absence.
When contacted, LRB's founding member and base guitarist Swapon initially did not want to comment on LRB's current lineup.
However, he later said, "Many newspapers reported that I have taken possession of LRB. But, I want to inform everybody that LRB is not an institution, and you cannot possess or grab it. LRB is the name of a dream and a feeling. So, there is no question of grabbing it."
"We have started our new journey with Mizan and three others. This is all I can say now," he added.
The new lineup of LRB has Mizan as Vocal, Puspa Ferdaus as guitarist, Amit as drummer, Rony Sheikh as keyboard player and Swapon as base guitarist.
Swapon said, "Boss (Ayub Bachchu) and I started LRB together. I too have grown old. I can leave this world anytime. When I meet the boss after my death, he will ask me, "Couldn't you keep my songs alive?" What would I reply to him then? So, I am still going on with LRB."
Regarding the band members who left, he said, "I do not know why they left. Maybe there is a misunderstanding. But they wanted time till boss's death anniversary. They might return."
He also said LRB would observe Ayub Bachchu's first death anniversary by organising special prayers and feeding orphans.
