Joint discussion meeting held between BAF and Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority

A joint discussion meeting was held on Thursday at the Air Force Headquarters, Dhaka Cantonment on the participation of Bangladesh Air Force in 'Airport Emergency Exercise-2020'.

According to a press release, the meeting was held as a part of various exercises conducted by Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority to deal with any emergency situation at HazratShahjalal International Airport.

The meeting was presided over by the Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat.

Various exercises were conducted by Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in preparation for dealing with emergency situation rapidly and with professionalism, the press release said.

The meeting discussed in detail the participation of Bangladesh Air Force and joint activities with the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority to make the 'Airport Emergency Exercise-2020' a success, the press release reads.

At the meeting, the Director of HazratShahjalal International Airport and the Director of Flight Safety Directorate at Air Headquarters gave a brief overview of the exercise, the press release added.

Among others, principal staff officers of Bangladesh Air Force, air officer commanding of BAF Base Bangabandhu, senior BAF officers and representatives from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority were present at the meeting, the press release further said.
