Kabir Bin Anwar receives highest national honor of Scouts

Kabir Bin Anwar, President of the National Committee for the Development of Bangladesh Scouts, has received "Silver Tiger" medal, the highest national honor of Scouts.

Kabir, also Senior Secretary at the Ministry of Water Resources, has been awarded with the medal by the Bangladesh Scouts for his unique contribution to the development and expansion of the Scouts movement, said a press release on Sunday.

He was awarded the medal at the 49th Annual (Tri-Annual) General Meeting of the National Council of Bangladesh Scouts held at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka on Saturday.

Kabir bin Anwar is an officer of the 7th batch of BCS (Administration) cadre.

He joined the Bangladesh Civil Service on 15th February 1988 as Assistant Commissioner. He served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Assistant Secretary, Bangladesh Embassy in Netherlands as First Secretary, Ministry of Finance as Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs as Deputy Secretary and Director General (Administration) in the Office of the Prime Minister as Additional Secretary.

Moreover, He was awarded many medals and honors for his philanthropic works. He received the WISIS Award from ITU in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018. He also received the Public Administration Medal in 2016 and 2018 and the Open Group Award in 2017.
