Protest over Abrar murder continues at Buet
The students vowed to continue their movement until justice is ensured.
Hundreds of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) students are demonstrating on the campus today demanding the arrest and exemplary punishment of all the Chhatra League men who were involved in the killing of Abrar Fahad.
The students started the protest at the Buet Shaheed Minar premises from 9 am.
Director of Buet Students' Welfare Mizanur Rahman met the protesting students at 11:30 am and assured to meet their demand. The students, however, rejected his assurance and continued the protest.

Mizanur Rahman told The Business Standard, "None of the accused are above law and they will be brought to justice regardless of how much power they may hold."
"We will do everything to ensure justice for Abrar's death," he added.
The students vowed to continue their movement until justice is ensured.
Meanwhile, the students of Dhaka University, led by DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur, are set to stage a demonstration at TSC of the campus demanding justice for Abrar at 12.30 pm.
Abrar Fahad, 21, a resident of Sher-e-Bangla Hall and a second-year student of Buet, was beaten to death on Monday night by some Chhatra League men over his alleged affiliation with Jamat-e-Islami's student wing Chhatra Shibir.
