EC resumes voter transfer activities
The release instructed field-level offices to receive applications for voter transfers as before,conduct necessary verification and issue and settle the applications accordingly. The letter has been sent to all upazila and thana election officers.
The Election Commission (EC) has decided to resume voter transfer activities for individuals who have changed their residential addresses.
An office release signed by EC Senior Assistant Secretary Md Nasir Uddin Chowdhury said the information today.
The release instructed field-level offices to receive applications for voter transfers as before,conduct necessary verification and issue and settle the applications accordingly. The letter has been sent to all upazila and thana election officers.

The release said that field-level offices were instructed on 2 September to process applications for voter transfers due to changes in residential addresses by 10 September.
"The Election Commission has decided to resume voter transfer activities at the field-level," it added.
