German parliamentary delegation visits Heidelberg Materials’ Kanchpur plant
A high-level German delegation recently visited the Kanchpur plant of Heidelberg Materials Bangladesh PLC to observe its production processes, technology, sustainability initiatives and safety measures.
The delegation included German Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Rüdiger Lotz; German Member of Parliament and delegation head Nicklas Kappa; other members of the German Parliament; and senior officials from the German Embassy, according to the press release.
During the visit, the delegation toured the plant and observed its machinery, production processes, environmentally friendly initiatives and safety measures.

The visitors also learned about Heidelberg Materials Bangladesh's use of German technology and its efforts to maintain sustainable production standards in the country's construction materials sector.
The delegation appreciated the company's contribution to Bangladesh's construction sector and its focus on technology, sustainability and safety.
Representing Heidelberg Materials Bangladesh PLC were Sales and Marketing Director Sameer Zakaria; Director and Chief Financial Officer Emdadul Haque FCA; and HR Director Mohammad Alamgir, along with other senior officials.
Heidelberg Materials Bangladesh said it remains committed to supporting the development of Bangladesh's modern infrastructure through technology, sustainable innovation and responsible production practices.
