Bus set on fire in Pallabi amid rain

A Paristhan Paribahan bus was set on fire early today (20 September) amid heavy rain in the capital's Pallabi area.
The incident occurred around 7:15am on Ceramic Road under the jurisdiction of Pallabi Police Station.

Hasan Basir, officer-in-charge (OC) of Pallabi Police Station, said, "Around 7:15am, a parked Paristhan Paribahan bus was set on fire in the rain. Several seats of the bus were burnt. However, there were no casualties. We are looking into the matter."
Earlier, three buses caught fire in Mirpur and Badda yesterday evening.
A Shikhor Paribahan bus caught fire in Mirpur-11 around 7:13pm, opposite Jamjam Tower. While the Fire Service said the bus caught fire while in motion, the police said it was parked by the roadside and had no passengers aboard.
Another passenger bus caught fire in Mirpur-1 around 7:30pm.
Later, a staff bus caught fire while parked at the Madhya Badda U-loop around 7:50pm, with police investigating the cause.
