Banglalink offers free Friday imo calls with seven-day and 30-day packs

Banglalink has launched "Kotha Bola Shukrobare Free", offering free imo voice and video calls on Fridays nationwide to prepaid and postpaid customers subscribing to seven-day or 30-day data packs or bundles.

Eligible customers can make these calls every Friday for the duration of their packs or bundles, without deductions from their data balance, according to a press release.

Banglalink said the initiative aims to help customers stay connected with family members living abroad. The operator introduced the offer in recognition of how many customers use imo for voice and video calls with their families.

The company said Friday is an important day for family gatherings and shared meals in Bangladesh and an opportunity for migrant workers and their families to reconnect across borders.

Through the initiative, Banglalink aims to ease customers' concerns about data consumption so they can spend more time speaking with family members. The company said the offer reflects its commitment to putting customers' needs first.

Banglalink Chief Marketing Officer Kazi Mahboob Hassan said, "It is not easy to stay away from your family, thousands of miles away. The deep emotional distance that families of immigrant workers face cannot be bridged so easily, but as a 'people-first' brand, we have to try."

He added, "Friday is a sacred day of togetherness for Bangladeshi households, and Banglalink believes connectivity should bridge physical divides. This initiative is an effort to bring families close on the day it matters the most."

The offer requires no separate registration or additional payment beyond purchasing an eligible pack or bundle, inviting customers to use it immediately.

Customers can access the benefit by purchasing or renewing any seven-day or 30-day data pack or bundle through the MyBL app, mobile financial services (MFS), USSD codes, or retail outlets.
