DSEX plunges 96 points as broad sell-off grips Dhaka bourse
Most traded stocks closed sharply lower on Sunday

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) suffered a broad-based sell-off today (13 September), with the benchmark DSEX plunging 96 points as all major indices closed sharply lower.
The DSEX fell 1.75% to 5,418, its 96-point decline reflecting widespread selling pressure across the market.
The Shariah-compliant DSES index dropped 19 points, or 1.78%, to 1,085, while the blue-chip DS30 index lost 23 points, or 1.11%, to close at 2,072.

Trading activity remained substantial, with 182,186 transactions involving 23.65 crore shares. Total turnover stood at Tk571.32 crore.
Declining stocks overwhelmingly outnumbered gainers, with 336 issues ending lower, compared with just 27 that advanced.
Another 21 stocks remained unchanged.
