Rain predicted in parts of country
The highest temperature yesterday was 34.2 degrees Celsius in Rangpur, while today's minimum temperature is 23.2 degrees Celsius in Tangail.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (6 September) forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours, commencing at 9am.
"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and at many places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal & Chattogram divisions," said a Met Office bulletin issued this morning.
Besides, it said, moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at places over the country.
Day temperatures may fall slightly, and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

In the last 24 hours (till 6am today), the highest rainfall of 52 millimetres occurred in Chandpur.
