Bank Asia launches month-long entrepreneurship training programme
Bank Asia PLC has launched a month-long entrepreneurship development programme to strengthen participants' business knowledge and management capabilities.
The programme is organised under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Development (SICIP) project, financed by the Asian Development Bank and implemented by the Finance Division under the Ministry of Finance, according to a press release.
The SME and Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank is providing overall supervision.
Bangladesh Bank Additional Director Md Masum Billah inaugurated the programme on 2 September at the Bank Asia Institute for Training and Development in Lalmatia, Dhaka, while Bangladesh Bank Joint Director Mohammad Wasim and Bank Asia Head of MSME Mohammad Saifuddowla attended as special guests.

Bank Asia Deputy Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer Akhteruddin Mahmood presided over the event with the guests.
The programme will provide entrepreneurs with training in business operations, management, financial planning, marketing and business expansion.
Organisers said the initiative would help participants manage and expand their businesses, create employment opportunities and contribute to the country's economic development.
