August remittance inflow rises 22.5% YoY to $2.97b
The country received $2.68 billion in remittances in August 2025.
Bangladesh received $2.97 billion in remittances from expatriate Bangladeshis in August, up 22.5% from the same month last year.
The latest data released by Bangladesh Bank today (1 September) showed the increase.
The country received $2.68 billion in remittances in August 2025, meaning inflows rose by around $290 million year-on-year this August.
However, monthly remittance inflows have remained below the $3 billion mark for three consecutive months.
Bangladesh received $2.82 billion in remittances in June and $2.86 billion in July.
