Four more children suspected to have had measles died in the 24 hours to 8am today (14 August), bringing Bangladesh's combined tally of confirmed and suspected measles-related deaths to 894.

A total of 972 new suspected measles cases were reported during the 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of suspected cases nationwide to 1,41,070.
Meanwhile, 187 new confirmed measles cases were recorded, bringing the total number of laboratory-confirmed infections to 17,730.
Since 15 March, a total of 1,22,794 patients suspected of having measles have been hospitalised across the country, of whom 1,18,540 have recovered, according to DGHS data.
