BGB foils BSF bid to push in 3 people through Chuadanga border

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) foiled an attempt this morning (9 August) by India's Border Security Force (BSF) to push three people into Bangladesh through the Jibonnagar border in Chuadanga.
The group comprised two women and a man.
Munshi Imdadur Rahman, assistant director of the 58 BGB Battalion, said, "Personnel of the 32 BSF Battalion's Meteri camp attempted to push the three people through the Meteri border area inside India near Madhabkhali."

The three remained around 40 yards inside Indian territory from the zero line, Imdadur said.
Later, BSF personnel opened Gate No 68/5-S and took the three people back into Indian territory, he said.
"The BSF attempted to push in two women and a man. The attempt was foiled due to the BGB's vigilance and alertness," the official stated.
