Meta removes Modi’s video speech addressed to students amidst CJP agitation

India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has summoned Meta's global head of public policy after the social media company removed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Facebook post addressed to young people during the CJP agitation.
Meta's global head of public policy has been summoned by the IT ministry over the issue, Indian media reported today, citing sources. The video was posted on 23 July.
A Meta spokesperson said the content was removed "in error" and has since been restored on the platform.
"The content was removed in error and has since been restored," the spokesperson said.
