Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority has added nine more services to its One-Stop Service portal to provide faster services from a single window for both local and foreign investors.

"Using the OSS platform, the investors will now be able to avail faster services to secure environmental clearances," she said.

"We are committed to providing faster and best-in-class services for investors," she continued.

Acknowledging the authorities of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Department of Environment, she said swift inclusion of all business-related services onto the OSS platform will help Bangladesh secure a better position in the ease of doing business index.

Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park, a dedicated government agency to establish, manage and operate technology business parks across the country, has been providing a total of 148 services.

Prior to this launch of nine additional services, it had been providing 11 online services through its OSS platform, viz., project registration, land allotment, space allotment, project clearance, visa recommendation, visa assistance, work permit, local purchase permit, local sales permit, space billing and name clearance.

With these newly launched services, the total number of online services being provided by the government agency stands at 20.

Hi-Tech Park Authority officials said in a bid to ensure organizational transparency and accountability and deliver seamless services for investors, they are now working with all relevant stakeholders.

It is worth mentioning here that in April 2018, the government agency reached a deal with local software firm, Business Automation Limited, to launch an OSS platform.
