Rainfalls likely to continue two more days
“The depression formed in the Bay of Bengal, is the main reason behind this rain"

Light to moderate rain and thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to continue for the next two days in all the divisions except one or two places in Rangpur, the Met Office said on Thursday.
"The depression formed in the Bay of Bengal, is the main reason behind this rain," said Meteorologist Afroza Sultana, meteorologist of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
Many places of Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions may experience moderate to heavy falls, according to the BMD website.
The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number 3 as a low has formed over the central part of the Bay of Bengal. It now lies in the West-central Bay and adjoining East-central Bay and is likely to intensify.
All the fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
