Ad-Din submits probe report on 6 newborn deaths, govt report today
However, the hospital authorities declined to share the findings of its committee
Ad-din Medical College Hospital has submitted its investigation report on the deaths of six newborns to the health ministry and the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), but the findings remain undisclosed.
The report was submitted yesterday, while the government-formed probe committee is scheduled to submit its findings today (3 June).
According to the hospital's public relations department, Ad-din formed a five-member inquiry committee immediately after the incident, alongside the government investigation. The committee has already completed its work and submitted its report.

Hospital authorities said they would not disclose the findings until the government's report is made public. Although Ad-din had announced plans to release its report at a press conference on 31 May, it later backed away from that decision and instead submitted the document to the ministry.
The hospital came under scrutiny after six babies, aged between one and three days, died within hours of their conditions deteriorating in a post-operative room.
On 31 May, a joint mobile court led by the DGHS and the Dhaka South City Corporation fined the Moghbazar-based hospital Tk3 lakh for operating health services without a temperature monitoring system and for other irregularities.
The health ministry's probe committee was initially due to submit its report on 31 May, but the deadline was later extended to 3 June.
