United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB) on Monday inaugurated its Islamic banking window named UCB Taqwa at the bank's corporate office in the capital. 

Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, minister for Land, launched the bank's new service as the chief guest, said a media statement.

Among others, Bazal Ahmed, vice chairman of UCB and chairman of its Shariah Supervisory Committee, Anisuzzaman Chowdhury Ronny, chairman of its Executive Committee, Bashir Ahmed, director, Mohammed Shawkat Jamil, managing director of the bank, were present on the occasion.

Other senior officials of the bank were also present there.

Saifuzzaman Chowdhury expressed his hope that UCB Taqwa would be a prominent name in the arena of Shariah based financial services of the country.

According to the media statement, UCB Taqwa is committed to offering best-in-class banking services in compliance with Shariah regulations.

United Commercial Bank Limited is one of the largest private commercial banks of the country with diversified products and supreme customer experience.
