The much-anticipated Tamil political thriller Jana Nayagan starring actor-turned-politician and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay is expected to release in theatres within the next two weeks, the film's producer said on Sunday (10 May).
Speaking to reporters in Chennai during Vijay's swearing-in ceremony, KVN Productions founder Venkat K Narayana said the film is currently undergoing final certification procedures with India's Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
"Final processes are underway, and we are in discussions with them. We are very happy and excited," Narayana said, adding that the film is likely to be released within around 14 days.
Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan also features Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj and Priyamani in prominent roles.
