Middle East crisis: Passenger woes continue as 18 more flights cancelled today
Since 28 February, a total of 320 international flights have been cancelled.
Passenger suffering at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka continued today (8 March) as 18 more international flights were cancelled due to the ongoing security situation in the Middle East.
The cancelled flights include two of Kuwait Airways, six of Air Arabia, two of Gulf Air, four of Qatar Airways, and four of Emirates Airlines.
Since 28 February, when Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Jordan closed their airspace, a total of 320 international flights have been cancelled, according to Dhaka airport authorities.
Authorities said the cancellations continue to affect passengers travelling to Middle Eastern destinations, and arrangements are being made for ticket rescheduling and refunds.
With the Eid holidays approaching, passenger pressure is expected to increase, raising concerns over further travel disruptions.
