The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has cancelled its final election rally in Dhaka, scheduled for Sunday (8 February).
Instead, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman will address voters at multiple locations across Dhaka North and South on 8 and 9 February, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed told reporters today (6 February).
He announced the change while speaking at a programme at the party's central office in Nayapaltan.
Earlier on Thursday, Rizvi had said that BNP would hold its final rally on 8 February in front of its Nayapaltan office, with Tarique Rahman scheduled to address the gathering as chief guest.
