Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has welcomed BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, who arrived in Bangladesh this morning (25 December).
In a post from his verified Facebook page around 1:30pm, Shafiqur greeted Tarique, writing, "Mr Tarique Rahman, welcome home with your family."
Earlier in the day, the aircraft carrying Tarique Rahman landed at Sylhet Osmani International Airport at 9:57am. After a brief stopover, the flight arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 11:40am.

Senior BNP leaders and family members welcomed Tarique and his family at the airport. Exchanging greetings, he embraced party leaders and waved to those present.
Afterwards, Tarique left the airport in a red-and-green bus for the mass reception venue in the 300 Feet Road area.
