'Mafia leader' from India plotting to disrupt national polls thru terrorist activities: BNP’s Hafiz
Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed hopes everyone will unite to collectively resist the misrule of the Awami League and the mafia leader’s threats through political struggle on the streets.
BNP Standing Committee Member Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed has said a "mafia leader," now in India, may carry out terrorist activities in the coming days to obstruct the national election.
"These people have no allegiance to the country and only understand power, money laundering, abductions and killings," Hafiz said today (12 November) during a discussion at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center in Dhaka to mark National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
"Representatives from all political parties are present here today," he noted, hoping that everyone will unite to collectively resist the misrule of the Awami League and the mafia leader's threats through political struggle on the streets.
BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman virtually attended the session as the chief guest, while Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir presided over the event.
