Sinha murder: SI Nanda Dulal giving confessional statements

Sub-inspector (SI) Nanda Dulal Rakkhit  is giving confessional statements in retired army major Sinha Md Rashed Khan murder case.

He has been produced before Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate (Teknaf-3) Tamanna Farah for recording their statements.

Cox's Bazar RAB-15 Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police and Investigation Officer of the case, Khairul Islam confirmed the matter.

Earlier on Sunday noon, the main accused in the case, Inspector General of Police Liaquat Ali, gave a confessional statement.

Last Friday, the court granted a three-day remand to OC Pradeep Kumar Das, Inspector General of Police Liaquat Ali and ASI Nandadulal Rakshita for the third time.

RAB to interrogate three main suspects of Sinha murder on Sunday

It is mentionable that on the night of July 31 this year, retired major Sinha Mohammad was shot dead in police firing at Baharchhara check post in Teknaf.

Police filed three separate cases over this incident. Two of the cases were filed under the Narcotics Act and for murder charges at Teknaf Police Station, and another one was filed under the Narcotics Act in Ramu Police Station.

Shahedul Islam Sifat and Shipra Rani Debnath, who were associates of slain major Sinha, were arrested and sent to jail in the cases.

ACC accelerates probe against OC Pradeep’s illegal wealth

Sinha's sister Sharmin Shahria Ferdous filed a murder case at Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate's Court on August 5 against nine policemen including Inspector Liakat, OC Pradeep Kumar Das.

On August 6, six accused, including suspended OC Pradeep and Liakat, surrendered before the Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate's Court.
