10-year-old boy critically injured in crude bomb explosion in Mirpur
The child was brought to the hospital in critical condition

A 10-year-old boy sustained critical injuries when a crude bomb exploded after he picked it up in the capital's Mirpur Bihari camp area today (10 October).
The incident took place around 11:30am near a mosque in the Bihari camp area.
The boy, identified as Mohammad Tamim, was immediately taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp, confirmed the incident and said, "The child was brought to the hospital in critical condition."
"The matter has been reported to Mirpur Model Police Station. Authorities are currently investigating how the incident happened," he added.
Tamim is the son of Anwar Hossain, a resident of the Ansar Camp in Bihari Para, Mirpur-1.
According to the child's grandfather, Md Jalal, Tamim was playing near the mosque when he discovered an object and began handling it. The object later exploded, causing serious injuries to his right hand and the right side of his abdomen. Family members rushed him to DMCH following the incident.
Quoting doctors, Md Jalal said, "Tamim has been admitted to ward-4 and his condition is critical."
