Media interviews show Tarique Rahman capable of leading the nation: Fakhrul
The BNP leader has urged support for Tarique Rahman’s leadership

The recent interviews to media proved that BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman is capable to lead the nation, party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said today (7 October).
Speaking at a Teachers' and Employees' Unity Alliance rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka, the BNP leader urged support for Tarique Rahman's leadership.
Highlighting the critical role teachers will play in the upcoming elections, Fakhrul said, "A great test is approaching — whether we can guide the nation correctly and lead it toward democracy."
He further said, "Teachers will reach every corner, from villages to towns, informing people about the party's initiatives."
On educational priorities, Fakhrul pointed to a 31-point agenda for teachers, emphasising the need to raise children to become ideal citizens and to establish a modern education system.
Alleging a plot to manipulate the elections, he warned, "Everyone, including the teaching community, must remain vigilant so that this conspiracy does not succeed."
BNP standing committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury echoed the call for vigilance, saying, "Those who speak of democracy but do not believe in it have deceived the people and infiltrated educational institutions. We must be alert."
The rally was presided over by Principal Md Selim Bhuiyan, chairman of the Teachers' and Employees' Unity Alliance. Tarique Rahman attended the event virtually as the chief guest.
