Saudia honours top travel agents in Bangladesh

Saudia, the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has hosted its Agents Excellence Award Ceremony in Dhaka to honour leading travel agents in Bangladesh for their outstanding contributions in 2024.
The ceremony celebrated the role of travel partners in Saudia's growth and highlighted their support in expanding the airline's market presence in Bangladesh.
Awards were presented by Musaed M Almusaed, assistant vice-president, international regions; Tarik Alowaidi, manager for Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar, Saudia; and Ahmed Yusuf Walid, managing director of United Link Ltd, Saudia's general sales agent in Bangladesh.
"Our growth and success in Bangladesh would not have been possible without the commitment and partnership of our top agents," said Musaed M Almusaed. "Their efforts have helped Saudia achieve remarkable expansion while continuing to deliver exceptional service to our guests."
Tarik Alowaidi noted: "This journey of success is built on the dedication of our valued agents, business partners and loyal passengers. We are proud to recognise their contribution as Saudia strengthens its footprint in the Bangladeshi market."
Ahmed Yusuf Walid, who delivered the vote of thanks, highlighted Saudia's growing appeal as a preferred long-haul carrier to Europe and North America, in addition to its streamlined stopover visa programme facilitating Umrah travel.
Recognised agents included Al-Gazi Travels Ltd, Al-Mareya Travels, Be Fresh Ltd, Golden Bengal Tours & Travels, Hajee Air Travels Ltd, Suma International Services, Sundarban Air Travels & Tours, Sunshine Express Travel Inc, Triplovers Ltd, Dynamic Travels, East West Travels & Tours (Pvt) Ltd, Shah Amanat Hajj Kafela Travels & Tours, Talon Corporation Ltd, Travelchamp Ltd and Valencia Air Travels & Tours Ltd. Awardees were selected based on revenue contribution, as well as support for premium cabins in business and first class.
Saudia launched its first flight to Dhaka in 1980, connecting Bangladesh with Jeddah, Riyadh and Medina. It has since served as a trusted bridge between Bangladesh and the Kingdom, catering to both business and religious travellers.
Today, Saudia operates one of the world's youngest fleets with 149 aircraft, serving nearly 100 destinations across four continents. A member of IATA, AACO and SkyTeam, the airline has received multiple international accolades, including "Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East" by Skytrax in 2025, and the "World Class Airline" title at the APEX World Class Awards for five consecutive years.
The evening concluded with a gala dinner attended by distinguished guests, travel industry leaders and Saudia's partners.
