AB Bank hosts closing ceremony for entrepreneurship programme

AB Bank PLC has recently concluded a month-long Entrepreneur Development Programme in Barishal under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (SICIP), funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance under the direct supervision of the SME and Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank.
At the closing ceremony, certificates were awarded to 25 trained entrepreneurs, while eligible applicants received loans under the open credit disbursement programme.
The event was attended by Madhusudan Banik, executive director of Bangladesh Bank, Barishal office, as chief guest. Imtiaz Ahmad Masum, director of Bangladesh Bank, Barishal office; Md Nazrul Islam, additional director and programme director (SICIP-PIU); and Ayub Ali, joint director and deputy programme director (SICIP-PIU) of Bangladesh Bank's SME and Special Programmes Department joined as special guests.
The ceremony was chaired by Z M Babar Khan, additional managing director of AB Bank PLC. Also present were Iftekhar Enam Awal, head of SME banking; Md Bakauddin Mia, programme coordinator and branch manager of AB Bank, Barishal branch; other senior officials; and the 25 newly trained entrepreneurs.
