Low pressure area likely over Bay
Meanwhile, a mild heat wave, which is currently sweeping over Rangpur, Sylhet divisions and Rajshahi, Bogura and Chuadanga districts, may abate

A low-pressure area is likely to form over North Bay & adjoining Central Bay of Bengal on 1 October, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
The well-marked low over Northwest Bay and adjoining Central Bay moved west-northwestwards, which intensified into a depression yesterday (26 September), crossed South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts at around 6am today (27 September).
It now lies over the South Odisha and adjoining areas as a land depression, said a Met office bulletin.
It is likely to move in a nearly westward direction further and weaken gradually.
Meanwhile, a mild heat wave, which is currently sweeping over Rangpur, Sylhet divisions and Rajshahi, Bogura and Chuadanga districts, may abate.
The axis of monsoon troughs runs through East Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, the centre of the land depression to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh, the bulletin said.
Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay.
"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at a few places over Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi & Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country," it said.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
