US-Bangla hosts ‘Partner Retreat Maldives-2025’ with 300 agents

US-Bangla Airlines has set a global precedent by hosting more than 300 travel agents from Bangladesh at a three-day retreat in the Maldives, the first time an airline has held such a large-scale overseas conference exclusively with travel agents from one country.
The 'Partner Retreat Maldives 2025' was held from 19–21 September at Sai Lagoon and Hard Rock on Crossroads Island. Travel agents from Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Cox's Bazar and other regions joined the historic gathering. Two Boeing 737-800 aircraft carried participants from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Velana International Airport in Malé.
On the second day, a programme at the Sai Lagoon Convention Hall saw 40 agents awarded for their performance, with certificates presented by US-Bangla Airlines. The event was attended by Managing Director Mohammed Abdullah Al Mamun, Bangladesh Monitor Editor Kazi Wahidul Alam, and US-Bangla's Head of Sales and Marketing Shafiqul Islam. The ceremony was conducted by General Manager (Public Relations) Md Kamrul Islam.
Al Mamun thanked participants for their support over the past 11 years and highlighted the airline's growth, including operations on all domestic routes and 14 international routes across 10 Asian countries. The current fleet of 24 aircraft includes two Airbus 330-300s, with another due to join soon. He announced plans to expand to Medina and Dammam, and to add 20 new aircraft. He also noted ongoing training of 30 pilots and 30 engineers annually, funded by the airline.
Awards went to Haji Air Travels Ltd (first place), Share Trip Ltd (second place) and Gozayan Ltd (third place). Travel partners pledged to continue supporting the growth of Bangladesh's aviation and tourism industry.
The retreat concluded on 21 September with US-Bangla reaffirming its commitment to hosting similar events in future.
