Gold prices drop by Tk1,458 per bhori
The Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (Bajus) has slashed gold prices by Tk1,458 per bhori.
According to the revised price chart, per bhori (11.664 grams) 22-carat gold will cost Tk72,258.
A statement issued by Bajus on Friday said the new gold prices will be effective from today.

Amid a downturn in the domestic gold business, the Bajus has set new prices for gold ornaments, considering the people's purchasing capacity.
The price of 21-carat gold per bhori will be Tk69,109 per bhori while 18-carat gold will cost Tk60,361.
Each bhori traditional gold will be Tk50,038, while the price of per bhori 21-carat silver will remain unchanged at Tk933.
Gold prices have so far been reduced thrice to adjust prices in line with the world market amid this pandemic.
