Ship supervisor missing after falling into sea in Chattogram
He lost his balance and fell into the Bay of Bengal

A ship supervisor went missing after slipping into the sea while getting off a tighter vessel at Patenga in Chattogram last night (17 August).
He was identified as Anwar Azam, 40, a resident of Noakhali, who worked as a supervisor on MV Amstel.
Police said the accident occurred around 10:45pm yesterday (17 August) near Patenga Sea Beach when Anwar was getting off the vessel after finishing his work. He lost his balance and fell into the Bay of Bengal.
Despite continuous efforts, no trace of him was found even 13 hours after the incident.
A general diary has been filed with Patenga Police Station, confirmed Officer-in-Charge Kazi Muhammad Sultan Ahsan Uddin.
"Rescue operations are underway. Teams from the Fire Service diving unit, Coast Guard, and Naval Police are working to locate him, but he has not been found yet," the OC said.
