Charge sheets filed in 12 cases filed over mass uprising: Police HQ

Charge sheets have been submitted in 12 cases related to last year's mass uprising, Police Headquarters said today (17 July).
Among these, three are in murder cases, while the remaining nine fall under various other legal sections, said a press release signed by Enamul Haque, inspector general of police's Media and Public Relations.
According to the release, all three murder cases originate from Sherpur district. Of the other nine cases, one is under the jurisdiction of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, one under Barishal Metropolitan Police, three are from Chapainawabganj district, two from Sirajganj, and two are being handled by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

It said, "Bangladesh Police remains committed to completing the investigation of the remaining cases and ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice."
