2 die of dengue, 1,056 hospitalised in 24hrs
The death toll from the disease stood at 143 this year.
Two people died of dengue, and 1,056 were hospitalised after being infected with dengue in the last 24 hours till 8:00am today (12 September), according to a regular report of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new hospitalised dengue patients, 435 were in Dhaka Division, 48 in Mymensingh Division, 103 in Chattogram Division, 199 in Khulna Division, 144 in Barishal Division, 73 in Rajshahi, 47 in Rangpur Division and seven in Sylhet Division.
According to the report, a total of 50,276 dengue patients have so far been hospitalised across the country this year.

With the two deaths in the past 24 hours, the death toll from the disease stood at 143 this year.
However, in the last 24 hours, 1,056 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
So far, 46,699 dengue patients have recovered and returned home after receiving treatment in hospitals this year.
A total of 102,861 people were infected with dengue, and 413 people died from the disease last year.
