Brac Bank to raise digital banking awareness
Selim RF Hussain, managing director and CEO of Brac Bank said, “It is our responsibility to help customers adapt to the new normal.”

Considering the rise in digital banking and digital payment, the Brac Bank Limited is conducting a series of online discussions on social media to raise awareness amongst customers, a press statement says.
"With the increasing need for social distancing, today both banks and customers are more interested in digital banking to stay safe and secured. But with the rise in digital transactions, there might be a rise in digital frauds too," said Ekram Kabir, head of communications at Brac Bank.
On August 6, the bank conducted the first webinar titled "Pandemic and financial crimes: What we can do to prevent them."
The webinar has been viewed by over 8,000 people including a live view of nearly 4,000.
Brac Bank will not just bring the industry experts to discuss the financial crimes in time of the Covid-19 pandemic, but will also promote the safe usage of digital means of payment and transactions, the press statement reads.
Tara, the bank's women banking solution segment, has also been running webinars to enhance the capacity of the bank's women customer segment. The shows would continue with enhanced features.
Selim RF Hussain, managing director and CEO of Brac Bank said, "It is our responsibility to help customers adapt to the new normal."
"The digital mandate is not something new to us; it's simply been brought into sharp focus during the pandemic. We owe to the society for creating a comfort zone for online banking and digital transactions," he added.
"We hope that the shows that we will be hosting on our official Facebook page and YouTube channel will reach out to a large number of people and make them familiar with the safe form of digital banking," Selim continued.
