Dr Sheikh Moinuddin, special assistant to the chief adviser with the rank of state minister, has been assigned executive authority over the Ministry of Railways, in addition to his current role at the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges.

His appointment was made through a gazette notification today (14 July).

The Cabinet Division issued the gazette, granting Moinuddin executive powers under the Rules of Business to assist the Railways Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan.

Earlier on 5 March, Moinuddin was appointed with similar authority at the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry, also under the purview of Adviser Fouzul Kabir Khan.

As per the latest order, he will now also serve as special assistant to the adviser with executive authority.
