Customs houses to continue operations today, tomorrow to ease backlog
The NBR has issued a letter today outlining the instruction

Import and export activities will remain operational at the Custom House, Chattogram and other customs stations across the country today (11 July) and tomorrow to address disruptions caused by a slowdown in the National Board of Revenue's (NBR) system software.
Over the past few days, officials said customs clearance procedures for import and export goods have been significantly delayed due to the sluggish performance of the ASYCUDA system, which is used by the NBR to process trade documentation.
Tasks that usually take two minutes have been taking hours to complete, resulting in a backlog at various customs houses, officials said. In response to the situation, the NBR issued the directive, they said.
Mosharraf Hossain, secretary of the Chattogram C&F Agent Employees Union, told TBS that trade activities had already suffered due to a recent strike by NBR officials.
"Just as operations were returning to normal, server complications began. We hope the NBR will act swiftly to resolve the issue," he said.
