BIZ BEE hosts BRAINIACS 2025 to bridge campus learning with career readiness

BRAC University Business Club – BIZ BEE successfully hosted BRAINIACS 2025, its flagship day-long conference, powered by Shah Cement and in association with HeadStart. Designed to bridge academic learning with practical experience, the event provided students with strategic tools, meaningful insights, and direct access to leading HR professionals and industry experts from prominent organisations across Bangladesh.

Held at BRAC University, the event welcomed enthusiastic participation from students representing major public and private universities in Dhaka.

Tasaoar Masud Soummo, President of BRAC University Business Club – BIZ BEE, remarked that BRAINIACS was conceived not merely as a university event, but as a launchpad for future leaders. He noted that the goal was to connect ambition with opportunity, enabling students to sharpen their career paths and engage directly with professionals who have walked the path before them.

Throughout the day, students gained valuable perspectives on the current job market, learning what employers truly seek in prospective candidates. Sessions offered practical guidance on crafting compelling CVs, mastering interviews, and preparing for workplace challenges. Participants also received clarity on various career paths and strategies to succeed in them. Professionals shared candid feedback and real-life stories, highlighting the importance of adaptability, communication, critical thinking, and leadership in navigating today's professional environment. The conference addressed the nuances of workplace culture, employer expectations, and digital branding, offering actionable advice on how students can shape their personal and professional identities. The event also featured insights into hiring trends and how HR leaders assess top candidates, along with entrepreneurial lessons drawn from experience.

Four thematic sessions structured the programme. "Inside the Boardroom" featured industry leaders reflecting on leadership, innovation, and impact. "Before the Briefcase" decoded recruitment dynamics and work-life expectations. "From Profile to Profession" explored how students can build personal brands aligned with their career goals. Finally, "The Opportunity Roundtable" created an open space for networking and in-depth conversations between students and professionals.

The speaker panel included Shehzad Munim, Adviser at FICCI; Sheikh Aminur Rahman, Chief Business Officer at Nagad; Arif Hossain, Manager and HRBP at Arla Foods Bangladesh Limited; Refayat Ahmed, Employer Branding and Talent Acquisition Lead at Banglalink; Shadman Sakib, Corporate HRBP and Employer Brand Lead; and Fariha Ahmed, Manager of Human Resources and Culture at Pathao.

BRAINIACS 2025 emerged as more than just a gathering—it became a transformational experience. Students departed with not only practical skills and connections but also the mindset needed to lead with purpose in an increasingly competitive world.
