NCC Bank expands Islamic Banking Window to five new branches

NCC Bank has inaugurated Islamic Banking Windows at its Kawran Bazar, Panthapath, Uttara, Mirpur, and Banani branches as part of its broader strategy to expand Shari'ah-compliant banking services across the country.
The formal launch of the five windows was conducted by Md Zakir Anam, Deputy Managing Director of NCC Bank. Senior officials, including M M Emranul Hoque, SEVP and Head of Business & Branch at Kawran Bazar; Abul Quasem Md Safiullah, EVP and Chief of Islamic Banking Division; Kartick Sen, EVP & Head of Uttara Branch; Md Amzad Hossain, EVP & Head of Banani Branch; Md Masudur Rahman, EVP and Head of Islamic Banking Gulshan Branch; Muhammad Shahidul Islam, SVP & Head of Panthapath Branch; and Md Mahfuzul Islam, SVP & Head of Mirpur Branch, were present at the inaugurations.
Md Zakir Anam stated that Islamic banking is central to the bank's strategy, given the significant demand for interest-free, Shari'ah-based financial solutions in Bangladesh. In line with this, NCC Bank has already launched two full-fledged Islamic branches in Gulshan, Dhaka, and Muradpur, Chattogram.
"With 32 Islamic Banking Windows already introduced in our conventional branches, we plan to roll them out in all branches and sub-branches in the coming days," he said. He reiterated that all Islamic banking operations of NCC Bank are conducted under the strict guidance of the Shari'ah Supervisory Committee, ensuring full compliance with Islamic jurisprudence.
