2 Bangladeshis injured in BSF firing at Brahmanbaria border
Two Bangladeshi youths were injured after Indian Border Security Force (BSF) opened fire near the Khadla border in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria.
The incident occurred around in the early hours of today (25 May) in the Shyamnagar area on the Indian side of the border.
The injured have been identified as Robiul Islam, 28, and Azad Hossain, 26, both residents of Shyampur area.

Lieutenant Colonel Md Ziaur Rahman, commander of BGB's 60th battalion, confirmed the incident.
According to sources at the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and local residents, several youths from Shyampur reportedly crossed into Indian territory around 1:30am. It is still unclear why they crossed the border. BSF personnel patrolling the area fired rubber bullets at the group, injuring two of them. Locals later rescued the wounded and took them to a hospital for treatment.
Investigations are underway to determine the exact reason behind the border crossing, said Lieutenant Colonel Md Ziaur Rahman.
