ISD expands life-changing IB scholarship opportunities from Grade 6 onwards

International School Dhaka (ISD) has recently expanded their scholarship opportunities to MYP (Middle Years Programme) students ages 11 to 16.

Previously, the opportunity was limited to Diploma Programme (DP) students (Grades 11 and 12). It's open for students from Grade 6 through Grade 11 for the academic year beginning in August 2025.
The expansion of the scholarship opportunity underscores a bold step in ISD's commitment to making world-class education more accessible to many deserving students. By providing scholarships earlier, the school enables learners to benefit from the full International Baccalaureate (IB) journey. It will also offer a stronger foundation for success in the DP and beyond.

The scholarship program is open to new students who demonstrate strong academic potential, a commitment to co-curricular activities, and leadership qualities. Students don't need perfect grades, but must demonstrate academic potential, strong personal qualities, and motivation. Successful applicants will receive a complete waiver of admission fees and a scholarship opportunity of 50% and 90% off school fees, based on academic performance and overall profile. In exceptional cases, 100% of fees will be covered.

On this occasion, Steve Calland-Scoble, Director, International School Dhaka, commented, "Access to high-quality education should not be limited only to a few; rather, it should be extended to those with a passion and potential to grow and succeed. Thus, we take pride in expanding our scholarship program to include students as young as Grade 6, enabling us to support their development at an earlier stage. We seek emerging leaders, curious minds, and individuals who want to make a difference. This is also our way of investing in the future of Bangladesh and beyond."
To apply, students must complete the ISD Scholarship application, participate in a mandatory on-campus information session, and take the scholarship tests. Those students who meet the criteria will proceed to the final interview round with the selection committee.

Applications are now open for the 2025-26 academic year.
