Drama director, two others sued over model’s alleged gang rape at Gazipur resort
Sreepur Police Station OC Md Abdul Barek says a drive is underway to arrest the suspects.

A case has been filed at Sreepur Police Station in Gazipur against three people, including a drama director, over allegations of luring a female model to a resort under the pretext of filming and then holding her captive and gang-raping her.
The woman filed the case herself on Thursday night (25 September), naming the director, Md Nasir, 35, his associate Md Babor, 32, and the unidentified owner of the resort, estimated to be around 60 years old. Their detailed identities have not been disclosed in the case statement.
As of the filing of this report, police have yet to make any arrests in this connection, with Sreepur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Abdul Barek saying a drive is underway to arrest the suspects.
According to the case statement and the woman's account, she works as a model and resides in Mirpur. She was invited by Nasir on Monday (21 September) to take part in a drama shoot at RASS Resort in Uttar Palaid village, Telihati union, Sreepur.
There, she was allegedly locked in a room. At around 3:30am the next day, Nasir, Babor and the man introduced as the resort owner allegedly raped her in turns, threatening to kill her if she resisted.
Later in the day, the accused reportedly kept her mobile phone, beat her up and forced her to leave the resort.
Last night, the woman said, "When I tried to file a case at my local police station in Dhaka, the police told me I had to do it in the jurisdiction where the incident occurred, which caused the delay."
She alleged that the accused are influential and have been threatening her.
She said she is now under police protection at Sreepur police station and will be sent to Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital in Gazipur for a medical examination.
When contacted for comment, accused Nasir said he is a drama director but denied the allegations, claiming they simply went on an outing. "This is a false accusation to blackmail me."
Repeated attempts to reach the resort management for comment via their reception number went unanswered.
